Dr. Cory Hoonhout is our owner and full time veterinarian. He purchased Donaldson Animal Hospital in 2013. Dr. Cory was born and raised in Macomb County, MI. As the son of a veterinarian, he grew up with a love for animals and a passion for veterinary medicine. Dr. Cory graduated from Ross University/University of Illinois in 2003. He has special interests in surgery and is particularly skilled in knee repair.

       Dr. Cory lives in the Romeo area with his fiancé, Jamie. Together they have two Boston Terriers (Lily and Gordie) and three cats (AJ, Stevie and Ari). Dr Cory’s interests outside of veterinary medicine include vintage car racing, travel, ice hockey and cooking.
